Downham PTA meet regularly every 6-8 weeks in the School staff room to discuss ways to raise funds for the school, by organising activities and social events for parents and pupils and how it can generally support the school in providing “extras” for the pupils.
At the beginning of your child’s first term at Downham ,you will be invited to attend an ‘Induction Morning’ . This event is organised by the PTA, where you will have the opportunity to have a coffee and a chat with Committee Members and other Mums and Dads. Also look out for our ‘uniform’ sale at this event.
You are welcome to attend any PTA meeting, we do have parents who regularly attend the meetings, but also parents who just elect to help out with fundraising. We are always looking for new members or helpers (including Dads). From time to time the PTA send literature home with pupils asking for Parents help, so look out for these and any other important dates.
