Learning Styles
Part of our 'Every Child Matters' focus.
Children are all individual and have their unique learning style/s. Children learn in a variety of different ways. Visual (images), Auditory (sounds) and Kinaesthetic (doing) are three of the main ways. Mrs Stollery has devised a questionnaire for children to establish which is their preferred learning style/s. It is helpful for children and teachers to understand the way they prefer to learn. It is important for children to be taught in different ways so they can have meaningful and successful learning experiences.
Children have been made aware of their preferred learning style/s and class displays have been created to show this information.
It would be great for children to discuss this information with their parents.
Below is an example of Mrs Stollery's learning styles questionnaire for you and your child/ren to look at and discuss together.
